Why WardPal exists

WardPal started with a simple observation: watching my mum, a dedicated midwife, spend countless hours managing the same documents over and over again.

Every time she wanted to work with a new agency or pick up a shift, she'd have to dig through folders, scan documents, and email them individually. DBS certificate to one agency. NMC PIN to another. Insurance documents to a third. The same files, sent repeatedly, causing frustrating delays before she could even start work.

And then there was the CV. Every few months, she'd ask me to update it with her latest training certificates or qualifications. It became a running joke in our family—but it highlighted a real problem: healthcare professionals shouldn't need to be document management experts just to do their jobs.

So I built WardPal to solve exactly that problem.
